What celebrity were you crazy about as a kid?
Ernie Banks, Mr. Cub was my hero growing up. I am one of six children and there was nothing better than all of us watching a Cubs game.

What’s your dream vacation destination?
Vera Cruz Mexico. I love blending in with the locals and having the full experience of the culture there.

What is your personal motto?
The first place I worked in this industry taught me to “put our customers first, put our company second, and everything else will fall in place” and it sure is nice to be working somewhere again that truly believes this and operates this way.

JOHN GASPARI

John started out in the print industry in his teens and rose through the ranks at one of the biggest players in the industry. He became an ISO certified quality inspector where he administered standards and best practices. At AMS, his inventiveness has led to dramatic expansions of our highly complex inline formats and inkjet web digital capabilities with four-color personalization.

What celebrity were you crazy about as a kid?
Ryne Sandberg, Chicago Cubs’ second baseman for 16 years in the 80s and 90s. He played the game with the upmost class and did his talking on the field. Something I loved about him and lived by in my career. After high school, I was drafted into a Chicago Men’s Baseball league where I re-fell in love with playing the game. I continue to play competitively and travel across the country playing in tournaments. Up until recently, I still believed I could play in the major leagues.

Who is your favorite band/musician?
In 1976, my best friend introduced me to a band called Rush—the same year their album, 2112, came out. We listened to it repeatedly and I grew to love their music. Two years later when they toured through Chicago, my friend’s older sister took us to my first Rock concert. It was eye opening to say the least.

What is the biggest item left on your bucket list?
Golf is another passion of mine. Luckily, my wife loves golf too so she’s planned golf trips to some of the best courses in the country. We’ve been fortunate to have played Whistling Straights, Medina and several other well-known courses. I still have Sawgrass, Torrey Pines, Pebble Beach and St. Andrews on my bucket list. Fingers crossed!!
